Nocturnal by Nature

Sun Feb 14, 2010, 2:55 AM
I'm just doing a casual study to see how many artists here find themselves living a comfortable nocturnal lifestyle. Please comment or send a note. You don't have to say anything if you don't want to. I'm just curious about the numbers for the sake of possibly setting up website for the distinctive tastes and preferences that I've witnessed in other "night owls".
If the numbers are high enough then maybe we can get something started.

Grin!!

Hello out there in Deviation Land! Man, I am feelin' good! I don't actually have "a job" right now, but I'm workin' my fanny off bustin' out pretty things that I can really be proud of. Unfortunately, most of my new stuff is for Christmas presents so i can't really post them until after the holidays, but I'm excited to see what folks think!
I haven't done any fake lithographs for a while, but it looks like I've still got it! Also, they're all huge compared to what I usually do.
Good Times!

It's Fun to have Fun
But you have to know How
And you have to have right software..
And the right supplies...
And a good idea that's kinda like the other ideas out there, but not too much like them or you'll get in trouble...
And you have to have a job other than what you're working on now...
And it has to be full time or you'll starve to death...
But you have to spend lots of time that you don't really have on this thing that might work but probabaly won't...
At least not This time anyway...
But someday Yes Someday...
Well maybe...can't be too arrogant about these things...
Aw SHIT! I thought about it too long and now I need the updated version of the possibly right software that I just got but haven't learned to use yet!!
WHY AM I DOING THIS ART CRAP?!? SOMEBODY TELL ME PLEASE!!

Oh yeah, because it's fun.........

Lightning don't strike

Thu Apr 30, 2009, 12:49 PM
I'm still working on things. It's been a while since I've just trudged along after the initial excitement of getting anew idea to actually finish a thing or two, but it aint easy. I'm a huge fan of contentment, but it doesn't help as far as passion goes. it's especially hard when I get a good start on a project. I become afraid of messing the rest of it up. Some of my best work has been coming out recently but in the form of a first page or first paragraph. I'm afraid that it was just lightning in a bottle and if I push it then it'll loose its "energy".
The rest of my day suffers a little too. I mean, I'm acting like I'm depressed or something. I can't seem to do my chores. Work is going well and I'm doing alright there, but once I get to the house I just loose that "oomph" that i usually rely on to do massive amounts of work. Maybe I just needed a vacation. Hopefully it'll come back soon so I can do more.
I don't really think that anybody reads these things, but I you have any suggestions i would deeply appreciate it.
